Drone Operations, Safety and Site Access Policy
At All Altitudes Drone's, we put safety at the heart of everything we do. We operate strictly within CASA regulations to ensure every flight meets high Australian standards. By combining thorough site checks with a safety-first mindset, we manage risks carefully to protect the public, your team, and your property. Our commitment means reliable drone operations that you can trust to get the job done safely every time.
site induction & briefings
All Altitudes personnel will comply with site-specific induction requirements. Before flight operations commence, a safety briefing will be conducted with the client’s site representative to confirm operational areas, hazard locations, and communication protocols.
ground risk & exclusion zones
We establish dynamic exclusion zones to manage ground risk. Access to the take-off and landing area is restricted to Essential Personnel only. The Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) maintains final authority over site safety during the operational window.
access issues & rescheduling
If site access is restricted or unsafe upon arrival, operations will be paused. We will work with clients to resolve access issues or reschedule the mission. Cancellation fees may apply if access is denied due to lack of required site permissions.
02. Site Access & Induction
Site Access, Induction and Exclusion Zones
Airspace, Permissions and Weather
Before we fly, All Altitudes Drone's sorts out all CASA approvals, airspace permits, and landowner permissions. Please note that jobs might be moved or called off if the weather gets dangerous or if there are issues with airspace safety on the day.
Site Access, Induction and Client Duties
Clients must provide safe site access and arrange a safety briefing. It is essential to participate in a site induction and ensure everyone on the premises follows the pilot's safety instructions at all times to maintain a secure environment for all. We appreciate your cooperation in this.
Exclusion Zones and Public Safety
All Altitudes Drone's sets up strict exclusion zones where we fly. If anyone enters these areas, we will pause or stop the job immediately. Keeping the public safe is our top priority, and we will always choose safety over getting the shot, no matter the mission.
3. Client Duties and Cooperation
We need you to give us the right details about the site and point out any known dangers before we fly. It is up to you to get any needed okay from third parties too. Please follow all safety instructions and any fair requests from our pilot to ensure everything goes smoothly for everyone on the day.
4. Emergencies and Incident Response
If an incident occurs, All Altitudes Drone's will land the drone immediately in a safe spot and secure the site. We will contact the necessary authorities if required and provide a full report to the client as soon as we possibly can.
5. Operational Delays and Safety-First Cancellations
We may have to delay, move, or cancel flights if the weather, airspace rules, site access, or laws make it unsafe to fly. Your safety and ours comes first, and we will never put convenience or schedules ahead of keeping everyone on the ground and in the air safe.
6. Data Security, Privacy and Effective Date

Client Responsibilities & Information
- Provision of accurate site boundaries and hazard information.
- Ensuring all necessary landholder permissions are obtained prior to deployment.
- Notification of site personnel regarding active drone operations.
- Identification of specific exclusion zones or sensitive infrastructure.
- Provision of a safe take-off and landing area as briefed by the pilot.
Emergency Procedures & Incident Reporting
In the unlikely event of an aviation incident or equipment failure, All Altitudes follows a strict emergency response protocol. All incidents are managed in accordance with CASA safety standards, including immediate reporting to the relevant authorities where legally required. Our team maintains detailed logs and conducts thorough post-event reviews to ensure ongoing operational safety and accountability.
Safety-First Cancellation Rights
The Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) maintains absolute authority to cancel or postpone operations if a safety risk is identified. This safety-first approach is non-negotiable. Cancellations due to weather, regulatory changes, or unforeseen safety threats will be prioritized over commercial timelines to protect life, property, and airspace integrity.
Policy Review & Updates: This policy is maintained by the Appenzeller Group safety officer. Effective Date: 8 September 2026. All Altitudes Drones reserves the right to update these terms to maintain alignment with evolving CASA regulations and Australian safety standards.
